August Favourites!

Well, it's that time of year again. It's the start of school and it's my final year! While I enjoy school and learning more about things I love is intriguing and getting to spend everyday with people who mean so much to me and who I actually couldn't have got through the past few months without (you know who you are) is just the best. However, every time we have school holidays I discover how much I love being more out in the world and doing something different everyday! And now I don't want to go back, so for a bit of cheering up I thought I'd share my August Favourites!

First things first (I'm a realest, I apologise i couldn't help it) FOOD. As I went on holiday i haven't eaten as well or as healthily as I'd have liked to but when I was home I devoured Greek Style Honey Yoghurt. I tried two different types, the Rachel's Organic and Waitrose own. Rachel's was so thick and creamy and you could really taste the honey but Waitrose was also very honey-ey? I love to pour it over my bowl of Shreddies every morning with a chopped banana on top!

Yummy!
I'm also rediscovering my love for kiwis as I had them a lot on holiday! I also had mozzarella and tomatoes by the bucket load. I don't know what the Portuguese do to their tomatoes but they are heavenly (just like their men but I'll get back to that later). Now more unhealthily let me introduce you to CHOCOLATE COVERED OREOS. Oreos with chocolate over them! The milk chocolate ones are delightful but OH MY GOD the white chocolate ones are my definition of heaven. I'm not joking when I say I bought 2 boxes of 6 packs and both boxes were empty three days after I got home....oops.
Look at these heavenly treats!

Beauty wise it's all about Rimmel this month! They recently launched the Wonder'full Mascara with Argan Oil, claiming to  'give full volume without clumps, giving lashes definition and leaving them feeling conditioned'. Boy does it do all of that! I love the length and volume it gives and I honestly think the Agran Oil is benefiting my lashes!

Wonder'full!

The second thing I have been obsessed with is the Glam Eyes Quad Eye Shadow in 002 Smokey Brun. In it there is a cream, bronze, creamy-brown and a dark brown. Being pale I don't really suit dark, black smokey eyes so this gives me a great alternative. When I was on holiday i used the darkest brown as an eyeliner in the evening as I didn't want a lot of heavy eyeliner and I loved the outcome. I've hit the pan in two of the colours as I use them for my everyday makeup so I'm definitely going to be repurchasing this for a second time! Finally for Rimmel is the 60seconds nail polish in 501 Fancy A Dip. It's great for me as I have no patience and up until last week I LOVED it. However, it began chipping really easily and I don't know if it was because it was hot in Portugal or because I've used it a lot but I was so disappointed.

Fancy A Dip?

I've also recently rediscovered my Body Shop Body Butters and I seriously need to repurchase them as they're almost all empty. I highly recommend these for anyone as they hydrate so well and smell glorious!

Now, my holiday needs an entire post of it's own but I have a few things I can't hold in. Portugal is one of my favourite places for many reasons, it has a beautiful coastline (Algarve), beautiful food and beautiful weather.  My love for some of the men is ridiculous. At the hotel there was a pool attendant called David and he was the most beautiful man I've ever seen. Aside from being so attractive they're also all so so helpful and friendly, made a change from the usual grumpiness of British people (not to be stereotypical of course). I also discovered swimming topless (i had the pool to myself) is so liberating and the water on your skin feels so nice.

I've also been reminded of how much I love flying. There's something about taking off and watching the ground get smaller and further away until you're up bouncing on fluffy white clouds! With flying comes airports and with airports comes duty free. I of course had to make a purchase and I decided on (oreos of course) and a quartet of Marc Jacobs 'Daisy' perfumes. I think I've discovered what I want to be my 'signature scent'. They're all so fruity but not overpowering. I just L O V E them!

Four Mini Daisies!
Being a huge music lover I love finding new music and thanks to Louise (SprinkleofGlitter) i discovered Meghan Trainor's 'All About That Base' a song by a young girl that's about loving your body and that 'every inch of you is perfect from the bottom to the top'. It's so refreshing to hear a song like this and it's so catchy and I've had it on repeat. I've also had Taylor Swift's 'Shake It Off' on repeat because it's also ridiculously catchy. If I'm mad I'll put it on and just dance around my room with it on full volume and instantly feel better. Going on from there (I'm all about linking things today!) One Direction have been making me feel so much better. The prospect of school makes me anxious and they calm me down so much. However, looking at pictures of Harry with a wet white top showing of his beautiful toned body with his glorious brown locks soaking wet is something that gets my heart racing as opposed to calming me down. That boy is  F I N E.

YouTube has been a large distraction from finishing my homework unfortunately but I have been loving Velvetgh0st (Gabb). I feel like we are spirit animals or something because I just totally understand her and I think she's hilarious. The SacconeJoly's and their beautiful children always bring joy to my evenings and my Sunday night favourites are of course Hannah, Stef and Grayson. Since watching Grayson as a new born I love seeing him grow, he's such a little person now if that makes sense and it makes me desperate for my own family!

FINALLY (last one I promise) I have a favourite app called FaceQ where you make avatars of people. I've made numerous ones of Harry, Harry with me and I've created out family (no joke). I've also made it into a game with one of my friends where I make them and she guess who it is (either she's awful at guessing or I'm not very good at them. My guess is the first one!) I can tell I'll spend a lot of time on that over the next month or so!
Harry and I!

I hope this wasn't too long and boring. I have a lot to say sometimes...oops. What have been your favourites from August? What are you looking forward to with September? I can't wait to start wearing my big jumpers and comfy boots!

Much Love
